Matt Hughes Don't Think Strikeforce Will Be Around For Long

I still don't understand how Lawler lost to Shields.
Lawler is a much better fighter than Shields, more complete but he seem to choke on occasion.

 

Lawler lost to Shields because Shields got it to the ground, where he is much better than Robbie.

 

It wasn't the most detailed fight so it's hard to say. It was simply a case of Shields locking the guillotine and the rest is history.

 

In fact, he started his sub standing....Lawler badly responded...

 

Yeah but in a rematch I would favour Lawler. I hope that fight will happen again when hendo knock Shields senseless

This is true. Lawler was very disappointed with himself. You could see it from his face and body language. He didn't even get a chance to really get going.

I'd still be interested in a rematch.

I wished Mayhem didn't run out of time in that Shields fight, he had that rear naked in and Shields was seconds from going out and the damn bell saves him. It should have been over. Shields stand up is about as bad as you will ever see, he looks like a 10 year old.

 

the rnc is forgotten but shields was so close to losing that fight.
