What the **** , no one wants to see that ****, what are they gone do next, bring back Dan Severn.

 

I love it sooooo much. Renzo is 40 and hasnt fought in awhile and Hughes is past it, had some injurys and doesnt have that same fire as before. Id rather see this then see Hughes and Renzo get their ass kicked by younger men. I dont think this will be Hughes-Royce II as Renzo is bigger,stronger and techniqually a better all around grappler then Royce was. Anyone who knows me knows I met Renzo at a seminar this year and freaking love the guy I train at an affilate school of his so WAR Renzo.

It will will basically be Hughes vs Royce 2. Renzo's a better all around fighter than Royce, but he doesn't have the wrestling to use his standup and Hughes is not only equal, but superior to Renzo on the ground in an MMA match with punches.

Hughes would probably win an ADCC match too.

Renzo is much more well round than Royce and his BJJ is imo way better than Royce as well.
not to mention midget Serra almost beat Hughes(which i though Serra won)

I do realize that, do you realize that Hughes competed in 2000 at a higher weightclass, and beat Ricardo Almedia, Renzo's more accomplished star student? Have you seen his match with the 30 lbs heavier Tito?

As for Serra "almost beat" is a term also known as "lost" The only offense Serra had was a result of an illegal headbutt. The grappling aspect of that match consisted of Hughes controlling Serra on the ground, just as he would Renzo.

Hughes has beat both of Renzo's top black belts, one in ADCC and one in MMA, and beat the hell out of his brother. I don't see much changing in this fight.

 

What he stole was the first round by headbutting the **** out of Hughes, knocking him to the ground, which just so happens to be a foul and was the only reason he had any offense whatsoever.

I hope this fight happens. I think the fight could be highly competitive.

 

Yeah it wasn't a legit knockdown and he didn't land anything too significant afterwards. But he did do good to close out the fight, and you have to give him the first round too.

 

Who is Renzo's brother that Matt beat the **** out of ? Last I checked Royce was his cousin.
