Good fight! I rate both fighters, suppose Ramirez will be favourite as Korobov hasn't looked good lately. But OTOH Zurdo doesn't have a lot of power and Korobov may well be a bit more skilled if he stays disciplined. Who would you pick houmzz?
What an odd fight. I'd be very interested in watching this but this is not something I expected to happen at all.
Well, I don't hold the Lee loss against Korobov too much as he seemed comfortable enough, just Lee has huge power in that hook. I'm still unsure on Zurdo in a way. I think he's good but was style wise all wrong for Abraham. I've not seen Korobov since the Lee loss so unsure how he looks but if he's on song then I'll take a risk on him
Zurdo should win that easy. He'll be huge next to Korobov who isn't even that big for MW. Plus he's not the guy to come forward aggressively which he'll need to do in order to win.
Zurdo has MONSTROUS power. He simply smothers it by being a 6'3 185lb SMW who tries to fight like a 5'8 145lb LWW name JCC, by banging away inside. He's a bit slow in the handspeed dept, and hopefully he's been working on his outside game because guys like Vlasov (a top CW contender now) were able to outbox him outside for long spells. But if Lefty gets full leverage on a punch, it's lights out. He just needs to work on that footwork to get his LONG F/N arms in the proper range cuz he's hitting his target far too close, and not getting enough torque. He's only like 24, so he's still learning, much like our Kiwi hero fighting a couple divisions N.
Unless Zurdo does what I was talking to Kiwi about, ie improving spacing to get power on his shots, Korobov should be by far the toughest challenge of Zurdo's career to date. Korobov is a far better range fighter than was Vlasov, who himself, forgets his own length advantage at times.
