Anyone know anything bout macklins next opponent, francis cheko ? Respectable record, but i've never heard of him.Macklins also signed up with frank warren again, and given himself 2years to fight for the middleweight title, saying once pavlik moves up it'll be wide open again. I'd like to see macklin get more exposure, he's quite talented, and just come off a points win over yory boy campas. I know campas is old, but still a name ! Whats your views ?
Macklin should have stayed in Ireland until he had fought Willie Gibbs and then turned with Frank Warren(which is what he was obviously set on doing) . Beating Campas and then Gibbs in a row might have forced Warren to take him a bit more seriously from the start and not match him with guys like Cheka . Cheka's not a terrible fighter but he won't test Macklin .
