He got $5k and sacked his agent because he thought he did an awful job of only getting $5k for a TV fight. The guy is 2-0 on the prelims and he got $5k. Matt was earning $8k + $8k winning bonus in his first fight. I'd imagine he is earning about $16k per fight now. This should give us an idea of how much guys are getting in sponsorship money. I'm sure the top guys must be earning around what their actual pay packet is in sponsorship.
He just fired his agent because they weren't getting him enough in sponsorship money. This is an outlier figure.
Yes. As I just said; he fired his agent because he wasn't get enough sponsorship money. The figure is not a good gauage of how much fighters are getting in sponsorship as its below-average for somebody in his position.
I know it's below average. It must be well below average. So if we use it as a gauge for top guys earning much more than it shows you how much some of these guys can earn in sponsorship. If a prelim guy earning $16k guy earns $5k in sponsorship and considers it a sackable offence then these guys must earn decent sponsorship money.
**** Mitrione. The guys a looser. Not sure who would want to pay him anything to advertise squat. Dudes not worth a loaf of bread.
Wow, you hate the dude, don't you? The guy is a naturally big guy who obviously does not use steroids. He has great flexibility for such a huge guy and is a funny interview and seems humble. What's to hate?
He is really growing on me. I wish him well. Shame what they tried to make him out to be on that TUF show. Even his supposid coach had some petty grudge against him.
I've heard rumors that there were guys at 119 whose fights weren't even televised and they were making more in sponsorship money than Mitrione. I also remember Joe Lauzon getting $52,000 in sponsorship money for his fight with Kenny Florian. Different circumstances to be sure, but Mitrione shouldn't be making anything less than 5 figures.
