Matt Mitrione turned down fight with Daniel Cormier

Man it was a win-win for him....at least IMO !!

 

Apparently Cormier wants Pat Barry, which on paper is a super easy fight for him.

Why does Dana even bother to rant about this? Who give's a **** about Mitrione turning this fight down? This is just like the UFC 151 debacle. Attack a fighter to take attention away from Zuffa's idiocy. What the **** does Mitrione have to offer Cormier? Dude was wreste****ed by Kongo. He'd have no chance whatsoever against Cormier.

And does this fat bald ***** not understand that it might be better for a lower level fighter who's on the wrong side of 30 to build himself up instead of getting embarrassed by a guy that he has no business fighting on short notice? I'm really getting tired of Dana's rants about all the fighters being pussies save for his brain-damaged BFF, Chuck. What the **** does this ******* know about actually putting your health on the line to earn a living?

 

Cormier's fight is StrikeForce' last heavyweight fight. I've been screaming for Werdum the entire time. I think the winner of Cormier and Werdum should get the UFC's next title shot.

 

I think that Mitrione is douchebag. However, he shouldn't getting attacked for turning the fight down. He's not even relevant enough to be mentioned by name by Dana or Lorenzo IMO. Dude belongs on Facebook fights.

 

Yeah Mitrione does himself no favours when he opens his mouth. Poor fight if it was made the only reason I'm slightly gutted is that Matt won't be getting shut up for a while.

 

Mitrione looked like he was improving at a decent pace, and then he had that snoozefest against Kongo where I don't recall him mounting any offense whatsoever.

And I second Werdum/Cormier. It's a great, relevant fight, and is stylisticaly intriguing.

As always ESB MMA Board is on Matt side..Well I fig you guys think it's OK that The Great Matt will call out a over the hill Light HW in Rampage..but turn down a fight vs a Top 10 fighter. That a win would bring his career back from the crapper..but nah..we give this Ass Clown a pass....

 

Maybe Double M isn't as dumb as he looks, sounds, and fights after all...
