Makes me think a lot that Virchis has relinquished his european title.Something is going on.My guess is that Virchis is on the point of getting a truly big fight.

Well, let's speculate about his future opponent then... Maskaev/Peter, JC Gomez, Chagaev?

Virchis gave up the EBU belt about a month ago ....

Dimitrenko and Skelton to fight for vacant title, probably early next year. Assuming Sacha beats Hoffman on Nov 17th.

Chagaev? Hm! Not very likely! They have already fought each other. They are stable mates, and they seem to be friends, too.Their first encounter was an outstandingly lame fight.Obviously they didnt want to go for each other inside a box ring.
Of course both Chagaev and Virchis have the same promoter. Therefore a fight between them could be easily staged, but at present there are some indications that Bidenko will probably be Chagaev's next opponent.

Maskaev/Peter? Well,Vitaly hasnt retired yet.He will probably get the first shot at the winner of Peter vs Maskaev.

    Gomez? Hm!

There is rumour that Virchis might be Wlad's next foe,but I somehow doubt it.

I have no idea, mate! Like you I can only speculate.

But why on earth did Virchis relinquish his european title?

Doesnt make much sense to me! Virchis will square off against Hawkins on the undercard of................Dimitrenko vs Hoffman.Assuming Dimitrenko beats Hoffman Sacha will then fight Skeleton for the european title relinquised by Virchis.
Well, both Hoffman and Skeleton are bigger names than Hawkins.
Assuming Virchis beats Hawkins he will then probably get a shot at a world title.

Skeleton is a rough customer-will be a tough fight for Dimitrenko.

If Dimitrenko beats both Hoffman and Skeleton he for sure should be ranked among the top 10 heavies.

You mean there are TWO governing bodies in Europe now? I thought it was bad enough with the multiple North American bodies.

I hereby declare myself chairman of the Ringrat Boxing Union and appoint Wladimir Klitschko heavyweight champion of the world! All other bodies pretending to govern the sport are forthwith ignored and cease to exist. There will be no sanctioning fees aside from a modest monthly stipend to cover my cable bill.

Skelton-Long ain't on Boxrec anymore, damnit! I was looking forward to that. Skelton's an entertaining fighter, and Long seems to have improved since he got KOed by Audley, so I was interested to see him too. I think this show is on from 2015 to 0300, that's 6 3/4 hours. How on earth are they going to fill it?

With this ****.....bear in mind the doors close at half 10 so you've got at least 3 hours to fill before the main event.

    Enzo Maccarinelli – Mohamed Azzaoui
    Nathan Cleverly – Joey Vegas
    Jamie Cox – David Kirk
Ricky Burns – Yousef Al Hamidi
    Anders Hugger – Hastings Rasani
    Thomas Person – Lee Noble
    Kerry Hope – Ernie Smith
    Tony Bellew – Adam Wilcox
    Harry Miles – Mark Phillips

No, there is only one European Champion (until now: Virchis).
But there is also a Champion of the European Union, I don't know who's the "champion" at HW. This title means ****.

European Champion >>> European Union Champion

It's never a good thing when Ernie Smith is one of the most recognisable names on an undercard. :patsch
