Matt has given us nothing but entertainment and he's always given his all, he's got great heart too, thanks for some great fights.

What was going on with some of the trainers hair styles the other night????

The bloke in vassells had some weird white forward combover and in skeletons corner some fake tanned bloke with long blond curtains??? Lol!!!

Plus the ref last night looked light a chubby Jeremy kyle haha!

Skelton beat guys like Vidoz, Sprott, Williams, McDermott, Francis etc. and he gave Chagaev a decent argument in Germany. How anyone can say he is the worst British champ in recent years is beyond me.

Well he's got at least 4 or 5 better wins then Scott Gammer and Mike Holden mate. I can understand you not rating him and not liking his style but i think many of us can't agree with that comment. European champ yeah maybe you can present a good case but defo not Worst British Champ of Decade for many of us.

He beat a prime Michael Sprott twice, a prime Danny Williams and also John McDermott.

His fight against big Bob Mirovic was particularly memorable, I remember watching it live on Sky and it was a great fight whilst it lasted.

Matt was never the best, but he never claimed to be; he could be exciting, he could be really messy, but he never stopped coming forward and he gave just about everyone he faced a tough fight.

He should be very proud of his career; anyone who thinks it was anything over than a successful one doesn't know much about boxing IMO!

He'll live long in the memory for that hammerfist KO of Tom Dallas. Just for that I salute you Mr. Skelton

Don't mind "Your Out!" - he's a spastic who types nothing but nonsense about Skelton.

    :good

He never was quite good enough for the top tier of K1 but he was a good level European HW. I remember going up the Brum to watch him fight live in the first ever British K1 event (late 90s?) which he won. When I heard he was switching over to boxing I was surprised and never thought he'd go anywhere near as far as he did!

He's had a decent boxing career, certainly his style may not be one for the purists but when we are quick to criticise boxers who we perceive as under-achievers, shld we not celebrate someone who patently over-achieved...
