Before the "Kessler overated" & "Calzaghe still hasnt fought anyone" bull**** started.........
What alot of people should look at is how Joe has dealt with ALL of his challenges , He is good technician when he needs to be, He can brawl , He has an excellent chin & brilliant stamina & is without doubt one of the best fighters of our era , sure he has'nt graced america with superfights but alot of that has to do with how he was avoided by the "names" & I'm sure by the time the book is closed on his career he will be remembered as one of the best smw in boxing...........:good

Yo, I'm converted. I never said anything bad about Joe, but I will admit I was skeptical after reading post after post about this and that by doubter (I had never really seen proof either way-hence the no comment). What I saw Sat. night was one of the best fighters I've ever seen.

Given the caliber of the opposition, Calzaghe's competitive win over Kessler was better than his one-sided schooling of Lacy.

There was some substance in calling Lacy overrated, but Kessler is very good. He was more proven and also more skilled than Lacy.

These guys are used to seeing the 'P4P best' dominating a part-time boxer, part-time promotor past his best :patsch

Anything closer than that, and the combatants ain't nothing special

You don't know ****. Watch the Calzaghe interview posted in another thread. You come here with all your bull**** fantasies about him fighting at 70%. Check out his eyes and attitude in that interview when he´s asked if he was a better fighter 5 years ago. The is not even a microsecond of hesitation when he answers that he has never been at a better peak figthing condition than he is at the moment. He says himself he is more experienced, more relaxed and just as fast es ever.

But I forget, you know the man better than he knows himself right?

And give some respect to Kessler. Joe even admits that it was a close call for him in round 4. A round he keeps mentioning so I guess he was a bit more under pressure than you might guess. At least as much as Kessler was at any point of the fight. Both guys was in trouble at ONE piont in the match but neither was in any serious trouble at any point.

Calzaghe just landed so many more points and he is the best fighter in the world.

Watching that interview makes me like him even more. Great person
