Matthew Hall returns?

    jesus i never knew that Matthew Hall is returning and tommorow night!What weight is he doing? It says his oppponent is a Middleweight on Boxrec?
    Surely he hasnt gone up a weight instead hes only 5ft7ins! and has a reach of 65? Even Rendall Munroe has a 68in reach!

    I am not slating Hall though i think hes a very good fighter but a bit small for the weight he has fought at and i always think that has held him back a bit.:bbb

    His skills held him back not his weight, not everyone has huge height and reach for the weight, he is not big enough for a middleweight, but he is a big lad he is easily 13 stone when out of camp. He is a big thick set lad, he is just not good enough to make any noise further than British level.

    Maybe a rematch with Kerry Hope if he is now campaining at Middle would be a good idea.

    He said on the Bunce hour that he's definitely staying at light-middle. He's got an eliminator for the British coming up as well against Kris Carslaw.

    I suppose there is always a way but Matty is huge like I say he is a solid 13 stone out of camp, not a hatton 13/14 stone with 14 spare tyres and 19 chins, he has to boil down a bit to make 154, I just think he would be weak as **** as a fighter at 147.

    Arnie might comment on this thread soon enough see what he thinks. I think it would be more likely Hall going up rather than down.

    His loss to Konecny was pretty brutal and I remember the interview afterwards, sounded like he had all the fight beaten out of him and his heart was set on retirement. The local scene isn't all that at the moment so he could get a couple decent wins but I fear for him if he ends up in another all-out war.

    I felt for him against Konecny, Takes fight at short notice then has a **** up over the gloves and is rushed without re-warming up or getting a feel for gloves. Then proceeds to slug it out with a very decent fighter who just beat him at every stage of fight. He tried everything to break him but Konecny just had to much in all area's.

    Hasn't he retired like twice already? He's a solid British level fighter though and exciting so good luck to him.

    Maybe if he stopped doing so many weights he might be able to get down to 147.
