Not many rate Matton as a top UK fighter so don't worry about the reputation.

No, because in order to be embarrassed, you need to have some pride to begin with.

tbh,who has alverez fought who was prime and half decent in the first place?.

and sure matton is nothing spectacular, but he has improved,he seems fundementally ok and fairly tough.

i think hatton will give a good acount unless alverez really does have crazy power in his punches.

last fight i saw of alverez,he was fighting a guy who had better days and alverez looked slow and very laboured.

Maybe m.hatton could outbox the young alverez and hurt him with the old hatton body shot(which he stopped his last opponent with!)

either way,i will support hatton,i dont over rate him,but i wish him the best and dont rule out the possibility of him being able to win somehow.

It will be far more embareesing than that. That was only embaressing for Ricky and all the union jack waving beer drinking nitwits who actually believed he might win

I don't give Hatton much of a chance in this fight, but I gotta give the guy credit for taking a steep challenge. It's the way it should be.

It wasn't that long ago that UK fighters were getting slagged for avoiding challenges. Times have changed and guys like Hatton and Chisora deserve praise for putting it all on the line and may the best man win.

Alvarez is a red hot up and coming offensive machine, but Hatton's experience can make it a competitive fight. Alvarez knows the pressure is on him and has to look good winning. I wouldn't mind an Alvarez-Brook fight in the future. Both talented, undefeated fighters with a punch.

He's getting knocked out for sure. I won't be embarrassed at all as a Brit. Matt is taking on this guy, give him credit for that.

Hatton is decent enough, but will never cut it at top level.

gawdz, this is an absolute-sham fight!
Its a strategic move by his promoter to boost Alvarez's win by using "Hatton" name product. This will work for any casual boxing fan to sell the fight and to give it "credit", but any enthusiast knows this is an A-caliber fighter vs a C-caliber fighter. Now boosted to B-caliber - its hype-boost thru his brother's name.

His record is bloated up by eating up a bunch of no-namers and a couple has beens, like JCC jr....
