    Round 2

Nascimento is diving in low, and getting countered with hooks as Murray steps around his lead foot. Murray throws combos on the go, while Nascimento just looks to catch punches on his forearms and wait for chances to throw big wide punches, including a chest-level hook that nearly spins him around. Murray is threading jabs between Nascimento's thumbs and touching his nose, then touching his ribs with quick pot-shots to the body as he circles. Nascimento lures Murray into the ropes and gets him into an exchange of body shots but Murray quickly gets back into range and starts picking him off again, seeing all the long and ponderous shots of Nascimento coming at him a mile away.

    20-18 Murray

    Round 3

Murray is completely dominating with his 1-2 archery and foot work. Nascimento is getting clobbered on the arms and head. Murray starts to pick up the pace with Nascimento a bit wobbled and leaning against the ropes and the referee jumps in to stop it as Murray's fists start bouncing off the Brazilian's abdomen and skull.

The slow-motion replay of the uppercut shows that Nascimento's knees definitely buckled before that last onslaught, and the final headshot rocked his head quite violently.

By UK standards it was alright. It's certainly preferable to having had it stopped and ruled a NC due to the cut and having Murray miss out on the win after a couple of rounds of good work.

They are only showing select rounds of the previously-recorded Scott Quigg vs. Daniel Kodjo Sassou, beginning with the 3rd.

Quigg has a nice left hook, but is lucky not to receive warnings for constantly thrusting his left forearm out to create space.

Sassou looks very durable but not terribly effective offensively. Something tells me this went the distance.

Pity...this looks like it developed into a nice little phonebooth war in the 4th.

Let's see how many rounds we get to look at.

Sassou down in the 7th from a perfect right hand that took his equilibrium but from which he was able to recover well. Quigg tries to finish but doesn't force it.

    Thanks for the updates.

Matthew Hatton kind of became the ass end of jokes when Mayweather was apparently considering fighting him. Looking back, I wish the fight had been made. Brother's revenge storyline, Mayweather going to international (they apparently love him in England), and Mayweather being more active. If he'd have fought Hatton, people would have jumped on him but then would've been shut up after he would've shut out Mosley, but would it really have been that much worse than some epic mis-matches we have seen of late?

Quigg rode his bike in the championship rounds, DLH-Trinidad style - until the very last minute, where he let his fast hands go a bit and knocked some bloody saliva from the African-Frenchman's gumshield.

Quigg of course wins a wide UD.

Quigg seems bright in his interview, saying that he was told ny his corner to abandon slugging after the 4th and that he obeyed them to cruise to the win. That is a good sign.

What do you make of Quigg as a prospect IB? He's pretty highly rated over here.

No way Matt Hatton is even close to world class.

He's middle of the pack domestically. Barely Euro level.

Technically unimpressive, slow, and feather fisted.

This Belge guy is such a bum it isn't even funny. Don't get too excited here. Magic Hatton is a firm C- fighter.
