Been watching his early bouts and I must say he had incredible strength.I remember after his bout with Doug Dewitt that Dewitt stated Hilton was the strongest boxer he had ever faced,
While Hilton's punches weren't the straightest they were thrown pretty fast and with power and he really dug to the body!
Its a shame he didn't dedicate himself to boxing like he should have as I see very few jr.middles being able to deal with his punching power.

I pretty much agree. He had great power at 154 and relied almost exclusively on this to win his bouts.

He doesn't have a great resume though (Antuofermo & Benitez were way past it) and Hines showed him up technically easily enough.

With a different trainer who actually taught him how to box he might have been a lot better.

Was the DeWitt fight where Hilton got repeatedly battered from pillar to post with his father in the corner refusing to pull him out?

I've always wanted to see the Dewitt bout as I believe thats the fight that basically ended Hiltons career.
