Is that meant to be a joke, buddy? Nice attempt, only, if you cared to educate your poor, clearly ignorant self, you'd know that I have an unfair reputation amongst some fine posters(well, fine in comparison to some[i.e. you]) around these here parts of being ''anti-Irish'' or an ''Uncle Tom'' if you will. Now, you may not know this, but people's interest in our great sport in some cases expands further than the country they hail from. Earth-shattering, I know, almost as bad as your relegation I'd imagine. As such, my favourite fighters come from a variety of nations, covering a broad spectrum if you will. Fernando Montiel happens to fall under that category. Now, if you think you know more than me about KO-Chul, then ****ing challenge me, ****. Because I promise you, jokes will be the only thing you'll be able to hope to come up with. I have no interest in these petty nationality quarrels, and as a result tried to change the subject, for the benefit of us all. As I say, challenge me, mong.
I thought as much. So, you seem to have all the answers, what do you make of a possible super-flyweight unification between Mijares and Rojas? Or maybe the other two, Narvaez and Cazares, if they were set to collide? A witty retort will suffice if you, again, don't know what to say in response.
I dont really have a problem with it. I have Welsh and Canadian blood, I dont think Id feel the need to pay homeage to either but each to their own. To be honest I had no idea he was Irish until he walked into the ring at the Echo Arena to an Irish folk songThe Irish will consider him to be one of their top men where as he was probably seen as just another fighter when he was British, so it might work out better. I like him though, hes a good fighter and was unlucky on Saturday.
He played for Tipperary as a minor I think. Which is pretty impressive as hurling is very popular in that county.
The funniest thing about all this is I don't think anyone cares. People just love to ****ing moan about something, and I should know, I'm Chief Moaner. He lost a close fight to one of the worst beltholders in world boxing, it ain't a huge loss whatever he is since people are so desperate to claim people to their nationaliy. Couldn't care less if Jamaica claimed him.
Every **** needs to chill the ****, it's gotten to the point on here where you can't even joke about the Irish/British thing without it turning into petty bickering. Let's be honest, if Macklin didn't put in a great performance on Saturday night hardly anyone would be arsed to claim him as 'their own'. Too may people on here from both sides with big chips on their shoulders who are quick to ridicule the other side for being biassed and comically failing to realise that they're just as bad. Anyway, **** the Pope and **** the Queen.
dude quit pissing your pants seriously your getting so wound up your bringing super flyweight unification bouts into a thread about about matthew macklins nationality, go have a raw potatoe a guiness and chill the **** out.
Good to see your humour is still intact. Fine, if you know nothing about super-flyweights(I'm assuming, feel free to prove me wrong if you can), what about super-bantamweights? Nishioka, Rigondeaux, Cordoba, Poonsawat, WV2, Arce, Ramos, Shimoda et all, how do you see things unfolding? Not trying to ''claim'' any of those fighters Rastamouse, just wondering what you make of them.
