Matthew Macklin Exposed

I would actually love to see the Barker fight happen now. Before I had believed Macklin was of a far better class but tonight he was fairly wank....hopefully Barker starts to want the fight now.


Still in hope of seeing Andy Lee or Duddy in the ring with him also.

 

Martinez > Williams > Pavlik > Golovkin > Pirog >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jacobs > Lee/Macklin/Barker/Duddy etc etc

 

One swallow does not a summer make. Yes it ws a very poor performance and Macklin can feel greatful towards the Judges but the crucial thing is he did not lose. An imidiate world title looks less likely now but the fight with Barker is now perfect. Barkers team will no doubt take great faith from what they saw. Failing that a fight with Duddy in New York would be great. If the preposed Martinez/Lee titlt fight goes ahead in MSG on Paddy's weekend Macklin/Duddy on the undercard would be idea. Fabulous exposure and the timing might make it feasible to stage this in the main arena instead of the theatre.

 

Its east to forget that most guys reach their well below world class. Macklin has had a good career and is a decent EBU belt holder. He is not a future middleweight world champ though. Martinez, Pirog, Sturm and Sylvestre would all beat him comfortably.

My opinion of Macklin has dropped considerably when his opponent went to touch gloves and Macklin tried to land a cheap shot

 

he and lee should fight one another and then throw barker in the mix , well see who comes out on top and then well talk about a world title shot

Barker isn't that good himself.

Macklin is horrible. He really actually thinks he is "levels" above Veron... LOL.

 

Not only would he beat him, he would knock him out within 6 rounds. :deal

 

Barker fight should be on the cards again now.

 

He's been pretty poor in his last two fight I like macklin but sick of hearing the bull**** 'i struggle to get up for these fights and Im better against a better opponent'. Your a professional sportsman it's your job too make sure you are motivated and to beat these opponents convincingly if so much better.

Macklin was lucky last night. Awful performance and I actually felt he'd lost it by a point or two. He keeps telling us he's too good for this level, perhaps he can he show it at some point!?
