    Age 26 Lamar Russ is 14-0 with 7 KOs.

    I see last year he KOed a 12-0 fighter in round 1, and a 13-0 fighter in round 4. His past 8 opponents have winning records.

    As an amateur, he made it to the final four in the US national Golden Gloves tournament.

    Russ sounds like he might have ambition - be willing to give it a go anyway.
    Macklin should be up for this one, he cant afford another loss.

    I like Russ, I just hope it's not too much too soon for him. Macklin's a big jump but he'll give Mack a better fight than Nelson or Matirosyn would've.

    Too bad Mack refused to fight Korobov...
