Matthew Macklins next fight looks like a serious one

I've mentioned this before, but my mate fought both lads, Macklin & Pirog, and was outpointed both times. More comprehensively by Pirog.

That being said, I do genuinely believe Macklin has it in him to outwork the lad & stop him late on.

 

If macklin beats pirog (which i hope he does) then nobody can disagree that macklin is then the most worthy of a shot at pavlik.

Yeah I havn't seen his fight with Pirog but I saw the Macklin fight and Macklin looked a bit uncomfortable to me in that fight. Ajetovic never took a backward step and seemed to get Macklin's attention a fair bit in there. It's pretty easy to tell from that he'd never deal with somebody as imposing as Pavlik.

This guy looks very average to me.
