Matthew Marsh retained his British super bantamweight title against Rocky Dean on a majority points decision at York Hall in Bethnal Green. The 26-year-old edged the fight on the judges' scorecard, 116-112, 116-113, 114-114. Marsh comfortably won the first round but fellow East End rival Dean upped the tempo in the second and third rounds and from then on the pair matched each other blow-for-blow as the bout went the distance. It was Marsh's third victory over Dean in the last two years. "I've always wanted this and no-one is taking it away from me, it's mine for keeps," Marsh told Sky Sports after retaining the Lonsdale Belt.
