Matthew Saad Muhammad vs. Bernard Hopkins at LHW

No, not in my opinion. We never saw him neutralize a light heavyweight fighter with the kind of intensity and power of Saad.

 

Wonder if BH would try to "head-butt" Saad...in attempts to open up those old cuts???

 

Saad would tear up Hopkins, by 11th round kayo.

 

I'm sure he'd try, but he might be too busy dealing with the incoming heavy artillery of a caliber of LHW fighter he was lucky to never have to face.

 

I'm not sure Saad would win ,but I would be rooting for him.Not a B Hop fan.

Over the course of 15 I would personally lay money on him over Hopkin's. I don't think Hopkin's showed enough at LHW to justify choosing him over Saad.

 

Bernard doesn't last the distance IMO.

He has no power at 175 to keep Saad off him, and Saad, unlike Kov, got STRONGER in the late rounds.

 

Agreed. And Hopkins being Hopkins, would complain and bellyache about the ko.

Hopkins was wiley and very hard to stop even when he was "old."

 

Bernard Hopkins a great MW but a lot of his legacy was built up on beating
2 former 147 lbs Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Trinidad. Saad was a natural LHW
and was a brute with power , heart and skill. The roles reversed this time.
Saad hammers the durable B Hop for a dec win.
