I'm not sure Galindez had the better level of competition. Look at the opponents in Saad's first ten fights. There are also crossover opponents (Kates, Mustafa, Johnson, Lopez) whilst Saad missed Ahumada and Rossman he took on Conteh and Parlov. Saad is the greater Light Heavy IMO, and he can overcome Galindez's cuteness and punish him late for trying to counter off the ropes, hitting the shorter man with the kind of uppercut that crushed Lotti Mwale. He wouldn't spark Galindez, but it would spark an assault that a damaged Galindez would struggle to fend off and it'd force yet another come-from-behind stoppage. Unbelievable fight, but if anyone was capable, it was 'Miracle' Matthew. Galindez was a ring general and a smart fighter but Saad is unlikely to let him do his thing. I have little argument with Galindez winning, but there is no chance of him stopping Franklin.
I think ultinately, Galindez would have surprised many by taking a narrow as hell decision over Saad. Victor would have been a shade too clever and adept at countering off the ropes. It would have been very close.
