Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez II - Round 8

This was the first thing that came into my mind.

Muhammad would have been stopped 10/10 times today in that round.

 

Agreed on what has been said in this thread so far, outside of the 40's this was the best era in LHW history, hands down. Saad was a great, and Yacqui gets overlooked far too often for such an imposing fighter. And to think both of their fights were like this. These kinds of wars were pretty much second nature for Saad.

 

Spinks, Qawi, Saad, Galindez, Mustafa, Lopez, Conteh, and there are probably some more I'm forgetting/overlooking.

How do you rate the post-Foster lightheavys Pea, in order?

I guess Spinks can be placed as number 1, but who is your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on in terms of p4p greatness?

 

As far as barn burners go I've always liked Round 1 of Michael Moorer -vs- Bert Cooper.
