Matthews: If the fight is to happen again, we want double or triple the money

lets be honest and realistic here both these guys have been exposed at higher level.therfore if either step up they will not be the star and therfore not get the big money.thus the only money for them is fighting each other again.

put it on again and give these guys the payday they deserve

Fair one though I was looking forward to that one more than the Bellew fight .Even though I missed the Bellew fight cause I had to work nightshift was still happy enough to see Matthews Crolla .

Agreed, Both guys stock has fallen in the past 15-18 months. Saturday was like a main event situation on prime time Sky Sports.

They can only of succeeded from that, The next fight will give them the ££ they want as i presume this fight was down to purse bids.

 

what do people on here think would be a fair amount for them both to get. i would have thought they would have earnt 15k each.

 

even if earnt 15 k though that is not net.thats before tax,tariner and manager percentage does not leave much.

Between 15-20 grand plus a small slice of the tickets they sell. These lads should be getting a minimum of 50k each for a rubber match.

Reckon if they cant live on boxing then they should get another job.. I have a couple of mates who play non league football who get paid quite a nice sum every week BUT they still have day jobs.....
Boxers cant live off there wages unless there world level, I reckon they probably left with 8 grand once they pay all there trainers etc... If they have day jobs as well there probably doing alright..

 

they will be self-employed, so they will not pay much tax, they will be able to get tax relief on almost everything, car expenses, training, even down to food probably, so if they cleared 10k each,

Crolla has had 5 fights in the last year, so by going on this, i bet he has made 35k after expenses, which i know is not great, but is not too bad either, when at british level,

 

for a commonwealth title fight? If they were big names then maybe, but they're not.

 

It wouldn't have been peanuts. Derry just had a look in the mirror and realised how messed up his face was and thought he deserved more for what he went through in the ring, that maybe but Crolla and Derry just aren't big enough names to secure big money.
