They would of Split around 20k. 25k at the most. Remember them prospects on the under- card only get around a grand.

 

Depends on the profile of the prospect and what was negotiated at the start of they're contract.

Yafai will not be on a grand a fight.

 

He will not be on anymore than 3k. He will have got a signing on fee and Eddie is putting him out once a month/6 weeks

 

I'm talking out my arse haha.. Maybe you should go away and have a think about costs.. Split £25k?? Where is Matchroom getting that money the show would run at a loss? Like I said would get between £7-10k each.. They then have there costs to the BBBofC . at least 20% to manager.. In the case of these 2 guys prob 20% to the trainers that's £4k away straight away if it was £10k.. You then have training costs sure Derry went out to Lanzarote then up to Scotland that will be a good part of £2k then you have nutritionists.. Strength and conditioning coaches.. sparring partners lets say £1k.. So your then looking at each fighter making £3k take away 20% Vat lucky to clear £2k.. But maybe you know better than me

 

Spending 2k on a trip to lanzarote and then Scotland would be pretty unwise if you were expecting to clear only 2k at the end of it all no? Glad you're not my accountant!

 

That's a training camp and costs all in and is a rough estimate.. A lot of these guys aren't in it for the money the title would have looked like a stepping stone to better money fights..

 

You make a valid point but they'll clear more than 2k, no way would crolla or Derry train 6-8 weeks for a fight for that amount they'd get more working in a shop!

 

Who the hell gives there manager and trainer 20% each are u mad standard procedure is 10% max otherwise they would have nothing left

 

If Derry had that sort of expenditure and was being paid "pennies", then he needs to rethink his approach. He's not a young man who can move up the levels with a good performance. He's been exposed at domestic level a few times now.

He can't speculate to accumulate. He needs to be smart. If he's off to Lanzarote and then Scotland (though why? It's freezing here right now), he's clearly got the wrong priorities training for a fight.

 

He was in Tenerife for a week and he trains in Scotland... As for standard fee managers fee is 20-25% standard and yes 10% trainer but how many did each have in corner... I'm just saying rough figures but can guarantee neither made over £5k after the fight unless they sold a lot if tickets

 

he trained in new york aswell and there was atleast 2 people with him dont know if he pays for them aswell??

tenerife new york and scotland does seem a bit excessive if hes only clearing 2k

they were ment to have sold 500 tickets each dont know what cut they will get out of that

Well bearing in mind that Derry has actually come from three comparatively lucrative fights for the Euro and the British where he was headlining the show in a couple of cases. He probably didn't get paid all that for this fight but win and you have a title to defend and a challenge for the British.

I can't speak for Crolla but I know Derry has his head screwed on. He used to work for a sports charity after his first retirement and now owns a fitness gym in Liverpool so he has invested his money wisely.
