Gatti was only twice made to look slow and that was against two all time greats. Gatti would box , I also think Ward throws a better left hook which Gatti could take.
Real winners are the fans. As a die hard Gatti guy, I give him a shot here. Gatti took Ward's body shots for three fights and only went down once. He can move and box a little bit, but we all know this would eventually be a slugfest. Lucas would be the favorite, Gatti would need to win some early rounds and hear the final bell to win.
Mathysse, heart, power, chin, boxing IQ, defense the whole package... not the faster puncher but he has the timing, and man he has that game changing power and body work...
I guess you missed when Ivan Robinson, and Manfredy both made him look slow and beat his ass. And Mickey Ward hit nowhere near as hard to the head as Matthyse. Nor did Ward have Matthyse's offensive skills.
