    Matthysee is getting $210,000
    Kiram is getting $40,000
    Linares is getting $300,000
    Gesta is getting $70,000

I thought that Matthysee would get alot more he got $500,000 for the Postal fight.

Those tickets were dirt cheap and its still alot of tickets left so maybe the price will drop this morning and he can get a bump on the gate money. Good money for a fighter that has been on the decline lately but Jon Molina Jr. got half a mil for his last fight. GBP should have put this at the Nokia theater or something smaller to sell it out.

Damn... Kiram might be able to buy a used 2013-2017 Honda Fit after he's paid his team.

This really isn't anything crazy... it's only a small group of boxers who earn big pay days. Look, $210,000 may seem like a joke... but Matthysse is making a small company CEO/surgeon/architect's annual salary for 2-3 months of grinding.

I do think it's crazy that my annual salary is more than Gesta and Kiram's purses, doe.

I know that Matthysee is on the down slide but Victor Ortiz recently got $750,000 for losing to Berto. Ortiz isnt exactly a world beater.

But, you don't have to pay 6 different people and the government taxes, that's the difference.
If it was him alone getting that money then yeah, but 33 1/3 to the feds, trainer, assistant trainer, cut man, manager, etc. Now he makes $90,000 for himself in the end. Not bad but those doctor bills are not covered by Obama care.

Matthysse got the job done tonight, it was difficult to look good against an opponent that is much bigger, taller and runs like Hell! Matthysse finally caught up with him and knocked him out!!! Wish Matthysse good luck, he deserves a big payday.......................he has earned it, he knocked Peterson out in the 3rd round, much better than what Spence did.............

Now that he got a title he can fight some 2nd tier welterweights, Mike Alvarado, Ortiz, Devon Alexander, maybe even Berto and make some bigger 6 figure paydays and retire.
