I bet on Garcia's win in a rematch. Not because I don't believe that Matthysse will have his chances.
My point is that psychologically Matthysse will have doubts about his power, those were absent before the first encounter. Self-confidence is huge in boxing. Moreover, Matthysse now understands that he needs to improve his technical and defensive skills up by one level. This is not his thing if compared to knocking people out left and right. So, he'll have doubts in this department as well, although he may claim otherwise, i.e. he improved and thus is very confident, etc..
Matthysse was caught off-guard with Garcia's intangibles in the ring, i.e. he didn't have an answer to the dirty tactics used by Garcia. He now knows that Garcia may offer some other puzzle in their rematch, and this will create another psychological disadvantage.
He will be naive to think that it's only the closed eye that played the major part. If he thinks so, then he'll lose again.
    And I like Matthysse.

Not sure about that because you could clearly see he hurt Danny 2-3 times for excample last 5 seconds of the 12th round and in the 11th when the mouth piece went flying ten feet

How it was a razor close fight And Matthysse was coming on until the eye closed..

Also note look at the slow mo replay when Matthysse knocks Garcia mouth piece out and they zoom in you could see for that quick second that was the first time his eye opened in the last 3-4 rounds and that and the 12th I thought he clearly won by landing the better shots

And I was cheering him in those moments and wanted him to finish Garcia, but I give credit to the latter for the great chin and good hugging abilities, I mean he has this survival instinct and wired-in ability to recover, doesn't he?

He might not be scared but he sure did feel it in the 11th and 12th round by the way he buckled and holded:deal

Also give cridet to the ref weeks because Danny looked really hurt during the whole cleaning mouth piece thing and gave him ample time to recover

Next time he may do spit out the mouthpiece on purpose (he didn't do this time), and for instance gains some additional time to recover, and then wins by UD. Would you call him a cheater or give him credit for using all available tools to win the fight? :)

Generally, the champ doesn't give an immediate rematch to a challenger. Especially if there is no controversy and he wins clearly. Lucas will probably have to earn a rematch in the ring.

Yep. Some of these Lucas fans won't stop with the hype but I say Garcia takes him out next time.
