    Maidana forced the Khan fight by writing to the governing body (WBA wasn't it?) and forcing the issue. I've read an article of a khan saying his preference was not to fight Maidana but ye agreed as he didn't want to be stripped.

    Good decision in the end as he got more credit for the Maidana win than any other

    That is right, Khan got out of the Maidana fight 6 months earlier to fight Paulie and it was a good choice as it gave him more time to get ready for the Maidana fight.

    I can't provide a source but I do remember khan saying he didn't really want to face maidana.

    He said the maidana fight could have been bigger then what it was, more money in the pot , etc. But maidana cried like a girl for his shot and got his ass handed to him for less then he could have, dont forget he was offered 100k bonus for the knockout and almost got put to sleep himself. Lol

    in all fairness i hope this fight never happens because its gonna end with 1 punch relatively early

    They both beat each other up. Khan went to hospital that night. Don't make it out like it was an easy nights work for Khan because it wasn't.

    Great fight and a good win for Khan though.
