Matthysse - Provodnikov Average Scorecard

I scored it 116-112 for Lucas.

But, the rds he won, he dominated.

The rds he lost, he was in for the entire 3 minutes.

That damned tape nearly got him KTFO though, and I was out of my chair.

 

It's his corner's fault for giving Provodnikov a huge breather. I'm still asking to myself, why did they took that long to cut the tape?

provo's corner was talking about stopping it 6 rounds in..... that tells you about how the fight was going...

provo seemed to know he'd lost.... not like when he lost against bradley....

and he had bradley on his ass.... never really came close to dropping lucas

 

I think you have to give Lucas 8 rounds and, being generous, you could possibly give him 10.

116-112 is fair enough. I thought the official scorecards were dreadful.

Matthysse absolutely dominated in 7 or 8 of the rounds that he won. The other rounds were close depending on if you give prov rounds for landing 1 or 2 big punches and ignore Matthysse controlling him with his jab. I gave Matthysse 9 rounds. Overall it really wasn't close.

 

I gave Prov 3 rounds, don't know where the hell you find 5 let alone 6 rounds for him

 

8-4 is the reasonable scorecard.

 

It's easy, you make silly pre fight predictions about Ruslan KO'ing Lucas, then get the other clueless idiots to do the same. After Lucas has beaten Ruslan half senseless, you start talking about whats, ifs, but's and 15 round fights.

I'm watching it again now and after 7 rds I have it 69-64 for Matthysse. :bbb

 

Matthysse clearly dominated the fight. Provo is the tougher fighter, though, without question. If the tables were turned and Provo had landed those shots on Matthysse he would have been KO'd in the 4th or 5th. Not taking anything away from Matthysse. Just saying that Provo is the tougher guy and if Provo could throw a cleaner punch, he would have taken Matthysse out. Matthysse lacks stamina and, compared to Provo, grit. I had it 116-112 Matthysse.

 

The 8th was close but I gave it to Provo. Lucas clearly won the 9th. After 9 I have 88-83 for Lucus.:bbb

 

Lucas won rd 10 & I gave 11 & 12 to Provo. 116-112 for Lucas.
