Matthysse - Robbed?

How? Don't get me wrong, Mattysse impressed me but there's no way the fight was that one-sided.

It wasn't a good fight, very few actual shots landed by either fighter. Best shots of the night were Mattyse with a straight that made Judah take a knee and a very sweet uppercut by Judah. Honestly that was about it. Actually, gun to my head.. Judah landed considerably more clean head shots.

I don't think the Compubox stats for Mattyse on body shots was correct, most of those were blocked or deflected.

I thought Judah eeked out a lot of the early rounds, and had a good side lead going into the 10th. I disagreed with Lederman though, Judah won the 12th. I thought it was pretty even going into the 12th.

 

I thought Judah swept the first 8 rounds. The 11th was no 10-8 round. So anyone with with Judah up 8-0 or 7-1 should have come out with him ahead. 6-1-1 and it's a draw. That's no robbery, but Judah made it a lot harder than he should have as usual.

 

Yea that combination in the middle of the 12th won that fight on my cards. Mattyse was getting credit for combinations that were missing. I dunno, it was a close fight where I had nothing vested in anyone. Wasn't as bad as the crowd made it seem and I gave it slightly to Judah but noone really earned a victory.

 

Not at all, a round or two each way....I didn't have a problem with it.

The term robbed is thrown around too easily.

A prime example of a fighter being robbed is Ben Rabah - Juan Urango.

That would be stupid if I actually commented the fight without telling that I didn't see it. I told that I did not see the fight and only gave my opinion in pseudo "robberies" in general without refering to yesterday's fight. Nothing wrong against that.

The Spanish dude was clumsy and looked like a chump in the ring.

He was lucky Zab was weight-drained.

 

This is why boxing is not popular and some people are losing interest when the best man does not win.

 

That is why he will get a shot. Champions love it when a guy looks like crap in a step up fight but its close, because now they can justify a fight with the guy and get an easy payday.
