It's also on the scene. 50-50 fight. It's a pick-em' in my opinion.

Matthysse has been through a tough gauntlet: Judah, Peterson, Soto, Provodnikov, Garcia, Alexander, Postol, and now Herrera.

Ok so this is why both of them have declined a rematch with Ruslan.

2 hard luck fighters. Matthysse since the Prov fight looked dehydrated to me and started to look his age. It might be the wars taking there toll on him, Idk. He was headhunting too much against Postol and disregarding his defense, if he goes back to his body attacks and fighting smart, Matthysse might come back. At this point, I don't think he hurts Herrera enough and Herrera humbles him with his jab. Herrera, despite not having big power, is perhaps the toughest 140lber along with Prov. 2nd half of the fight is where Herrera shines the most, while Lucas is at his best the 1rst half of a fight. Herrera by decision or gets screwed again.

Herrera's iron chin will finally be shattered, he's taken more abuse than Matthysse has.

I like both these fighters, but I think The Machine has too much for Herrera, though.

Last I read, Provodnikov is fighting the ESPN Boxcino winner. I just forgot his damn name, though.

No, not at all. It was a close fight with Postol slightly ahead when he stopped Matthysse.

Postol is a way better fighter than given credit. I was screaming this when the fight was signed. Garcia shamelessly ducked Postol. Crawford is currently ducking Postol.

Matty has nothing to worry about coming back at him. I'm sure he's going to look every bit of the fabricated machine so many of us fell for.

Truly 50/50 but matty knows this is it for him. In the manner in which he quit last time makes many of us that had spent time working out like crazy, sick to our stomachs. So much for Manny chino, he has zero chino running through those veins

I did my Postol thread the moment Garcia was made his mandatory back in 2014, just to say Garcia was screwed, but he intelligently ducked him.

Winnable fight for Herrera if he boxes. If he gets brave, I don't see him going the distance.
