Matthysse vs Kiram and Linares vs Gesta set for january 27th in LA

That Linares fight is gash

 

HBO is knee deep in the gutter.

 

I've not seen Gesta since the Vasquez loss, he was awful in that one. Linares by 8th round TKO.

 

Kiram looks really hittable and he doesn't have much of a punch. Maybe he has the chin so many Thais do and lasts some rounds, but an early Matthysse destruction is more likely.

Good opponent selection by GB for Matthysse at this stage of his career. If the best aren't clamouring to fight him for decent money no reason to put him in poor style matchups. He could well extend his career at the top with a couple of these type of opponents. Maybe he gets a shot at Thurman, who he'd have a puncher's chance against. Sure he's undersized to take it at 147, but he's still an unreal puncher, and we have to watch the guy. The neck tattoos are a bit much though Lucas, come on.

 

Thurman is limited, Matthysse would have a lot of success.
