Matthysse vs. Maidana, who wins? (Besides us)

A shopword Morales stunned Maidana on a regular basis. Both Khan and Ortiz put him down but he came back. Matthysse I think is tougher then those two and has a better chin. In this contest, the better chin will win.

 

Maidana's workrate would be the difference...he wins in another controversial defeat for Matthysse

 

I think Matthyse would stop him.

 

It only took the shocking competitiveness of the Morales fight and Matthysse getting robbed against two top rated light welterweights, but ESB is finally starting to come to its senses on this match. :nut Just a year ago a similar poll had it a whitewash for Maidana.

 

I think Matthesse though he needs a little more seasoning.

 

Agreed, I think his skills have greatly improved since his loss to ZAB. Good Jab, puts punches together at will.

 

Based on what I've learned here about them fighting in the past I'd go with Maidana

Well it's a really tough fight to call & if anything Maidana's style is more suited to the pro's. Psychology can be important in boxing. Maidana will be confident having beaten him already & Matthysse might be scared (not scared scared but you know what I mean). Also Maidana's higher rated. Don't call my reason stupid:nono It's a pickem and for me & having won their previous fights gives him a slight edge imho.

 

Maidana keeps the streak alive. He banks just as hard and I beleive Maidana has the better chin.

 

He won two close decisions with one draw - before either had really fully developed their man-strength. There isn't much of a psychological edge to be had there.

 

:nono All Sentenced is good Sentenced. Just because they stopped being an awesome melodic death metal act doesn't mean they can't be appreciated in their later years as a pretty good melodic rock act.

 

Depends on the psyche of the individuals involved.
