how did this fight not happen this would have been a super fight in there home country the way they fight 100% would have been a war its a shame this fight never happened
I believe Chino boasts something like a 3-1(?) score from the amateurs. Would have been a cool fight in the pros though.
After the Golden Boy and Haymon split, matthysse went with Golden Boy and stayed at 140 while Chino went with Haymon and stayed at 147. Needless to say, both stables weren't working with each other. Eventually Maidana retired.
Such a shame this fight never happened, would have been an awesome fight when both were in their primes in 2010 - 2014
