When did Matthysse become this crafty, savvy ring technician?

When did Valero become this unbeatable ATG, around the time he died i expect. In all seriousness Valero if i'm not mistaken never fought as high as 140lbs and was predominantly a fast, aggressive volume puncher, he was good if a little crude and predictable. We have just seen Matthysse decimate a large former unified champion of the 140lb division who attempted to stand in front of him and trade. I did not see one shred of evidence to suggest Valero can beat a powerpuncher with the accuracy and poise that Lucas possesses.

 

Velero is dead. What he did before he died made him a cocksucker. He's a dead cocksucker. Lucas KO by right of the living.

 

His character as a human being has no bearing on his ability as a fighter.

 

Valero was a very explosive southpaw with skills, and seemingly a good chin.

I'd have to say its a toss up, considering Matthysse is much bigger physically.

 

Matysse easy. That's because Valero's a little stiff these days. In fact, he probably lost alot of weight since we last saw him from all that inactivity. There's no way in HELL he can make 140.
