Be a good fight if it happens. The power is with Adkins, though Simmons has a better engine and much better jab. If Simmons fights with his heart as he does sometimes by getting into a tear up he loses though if he sticks to his boxing behind his ramrod jab he wins imo.
IMO Simmons is overrated when ever his been in a tough fight his lost and he takes way to many punchers
He's been beat twice officially and one of those against the WBO number 1 contender in Germany he clearly won. Against Dickinson he done exactly what he's not good st standing in the pocket and traded and got beat.
He even looked terrible against Barkley IMO he didnt win the clear and if Barkley throw more then single shots I think it could have been a different fight
I always thought Matty must have given Craig Kennedy a roasting in sparring. You could see in the fight Craig was scared and stood off. Poor tactic
Nice lad Simmons, was a good amateur. Shown a lot of heart in the pros but to me his best days are well behind him sadly.
askin is crude but I really like seeing him land those big shots looking forward to watching more of him
Yeah there is improvement and more focus, however I still think he will never be as good as he once was
Askins in an underrated domestic level fighter, I'd expect him to beat Simmons to be honest. It would be a good scrap while it lasted though.
Good fight this, both lads are coming off the back of good form. Askin the more basic of the two, but he's effective with it. Simmons has a top jab and that's his key to this fight in my opinion. Everything needs to come off that jab of his. For me though, this is Askins fight to lose. Fancy him points / late stoppage.
