Korobov's manager Dunkin says Matvey will fight October 20th in Texas and has been inactive due to visa related issues. He's interested in Gonzalez who just fought to a draw against Dzinizruk this past weekend as a possible opponent ---------

    :happy:happy

Whether Gonzalez wants to fight again in 7 weeks idk but it would be a quality opponent considering he's been out almost a year. If he were to win against an opponent of that level he could be fighting a legit MW contender afterwards.

Sweet Jesus, it's like he heard us talking about him! Here's hoping it comes off. Really doubt they'll get Gonzales, I think his team will look to protect him. Someone like Alvin Ayala would be good.

I doubt it too but a Ayala or Simon type would be a solid opponent after his long layoff in addition to being the best fighter he's fought as a pro. Naming Gonzalez shows the level of fighter they're interested in getting though and is a good sign that hes serious.

Golovkin runs through alot of people, doesn't mean Korobov won't be worth the price of admission. He looks capable of being in some big fights, like Golovkin and Pirog, he just needs the oppurtunity to step up and show his pro abilities.

Activity and to find a trainer who is good for him and he stays with. His amateur style as a excellent boxer puncher was suited just fine for pro boxing.

So is he done with Mccallum then? Back in February everything was still great between them and it seemed ideal since Mccallum was able to devote full attention to Korobov.
