Saw that too. I was worried he lost motivation but apparently him and his team were frustrated Top Rank hasn't got him back in the ring sooner. They want the best opponent possible right away and to be going for a title within 2-3 fights. Before the Lee fight he was quite active fighting 4 times in 2013 he needs to keep that up.

The next several months at MW are all unifications Matvey will have to get a win over another top contender to earn a voluntary or work his way to a mandatory. If he keeps winning maybe by next spring/summer against whoever ends up being the man at MW, wonder who....not really.

Honestly relieved to see Korobov back in the ring with two dates lined up, I was worried that after Lee he may even give up on boxing. I really hope he can line up another shot in 2016 and think he could win, a lot of guys will sleep on him after the Lee loss but imo he was unfortunate.

Yeah still too soon to write this guy off completely... He can still achieve some big things.

Good to see Korobov back a lot of depth at 160. I'm skeptical he'll ever become a top guy at 160/68 but the talent to do so is there.

I thought it was competitive leading up to the knock out, not one sided by any means.

I had Korobov up 3 rd when he was stopped.

But yes, the rds were competitive. :good

Hopefully he gets decent opponent for his comeback and wins impressively, as in shutout or stoppage.

He's gonna needs a solid top 25 to put him back into contention.:thumbsup
