Here me out,now can u remember roger sayin in 24/7 that all floyd has to do is get another championship in another weight class to equal the greatest ov all time sugar ray robinson.Rite, now with paul williams fighting pavlik at 160 a weight class floyd hasnt fought in say he wins he would be the 160 champ.now what if mayweather challanges him but wants it at a catch weight at 155 just above 154 so it still classes as a 160 title bout.
any forts on this theory i know its a long shot but hey stranger things hav happend anyway let me know wat u guys think.cheers:good

If Floyd fought Williams at any weight, I'd be surprised.

I've been talking about this on another forum... it may be possible, but it's pretty far fetched.

Say Williams beats Pavlik for the middleweight titles and can still make 147lbs, and PBF beats the winner of Pac/Cotto, I can't see why PBF & Williams couldn't meet at 147lbs for the WBO and Ring welter & middle belts... the demand for it would be massive if it all turned out that way

Far fetched, yes, but not completely insane!

Have you ever heard Mayweather call Pavlik's name? Of course not.

In this scenario you have Floyd fighting a guy who just beat Pavlik. Ridiculous.

wat roger said if floyd wins another belt he wud be a 7 TIME not Weight so fighting williams at middle weight is irrelevant. he cud just fight mosley or cotto/pac winner and be a 7 TIME world champ

Other than heigh and reach which PW does not use at all. PW has nothing PBF can not beat. PBFs speed and ducking will make it impossible for PW to land on him. Specially with that heigh difference. Think about it.
Also PW can be countered and is a sucker for good footwork as Quintana showed. PBF is 10 times better iin those Categories than Quintana.
When i see PW boxing from the outside with a quick stiff Jab and also improve his defense then he has a shot at beating PBF. Right now he would lose to PBF

I'd bet my house (if I had one) that Floyd Mayweather Jr. Will NEVER fight Paul Williams!

Might as well wait by the chimeny for Santa . Mayweather fighting anyone not carefully picked is a fantasy.
