I came on here this morning expecting to see threads of "Herrera got robbed!"

I for one think Herrera got robbed. :fire Even Ramirez' dad told him before the 12th that he needed to go for the knockout. He knew damn well who was winning the fight. It was also disgusting to see Ramirez' corner celebrating after the fight, acting as if they legitimately won that fight. Oh, and **** the three stooges who call the fight for HBO. Two out of the three semi-complained and pretty much stated that even though Herrera got robbed, it was a part of boxing. Then they moved on as if nothing happened. RJJ didn't say one word. Pathetic.

I feel bad for Herrera. Completely outworked the guy and got robbed by three CORRUPT assholes. The bright side to all of this is that Ramirez will get thrown in with better fighters who CAN punch and will get KTFO.

2nd time the poor guy got robbed. If i was him I would just quit. Because what is the point. Boxing so corrupt atm it got nothing to do with fair play or abilities only about connections

I totally agree, but it's how he makes a living so I don't think he will quit.

However, the purpose of this thread was to complain to the ESBers. Usually, there are multiple threads of a fighter getting robbed. In this case there was zero. Is getting robbed getting so common now that ESBers are now accepting it and won't voice their disgust?

People just don't hate Benavidez as much as they do Garcia, and the funny thing is the Garcia fight was much closer, and at least debatable.

Herrera basically put Benavidez where he wanted him whenever he wanted to do it. I understand some close rounds that could've gone to Benavidez. But a win? A draw would've been lousy but Benavidez winning is a robbery. I don't call robbery lightly either. Stupefying score cards. I thought this place would be crazy about the decision too. Go figure. The Bradley score cards were lousy too. Not AS lousy but the bar was set pretty low/high?

The entire world knew Herrera won clearly. Only one who didn't was the 3 payed off judges. As soon I saw the first judge with a completely unknown resume i knew it was going to be a robbery. Hell even Benavidez own father knew his son had lost and told him you need a KO to win.

    Pro boxing is a shame

Are you going to argue that Benavidez controlled that fight?

Herrera dictated 90% of every minute of that fight.

I'm a guy who will score 1 or 2 GREAT shots over 30 pitter-pats.. but that didn't happen. Benavidez ****ed away at least 7 or 8 rounds by litterally not fighting or landing enough and laying on the ropes getting worked.

It's situations like these where compubox can really help. People believe they saw a dominant Herrera giving Benavidez more than he can handle. They probably think he out landed Benavidez by a huge margin but when you look at the punch stats you see that Herrera only out landed by like about thirty overall, and ten more power shots. That's only about three punches per round and maybe one being a "power" shot. That's extremely little for a guy with little power, you can easily see what the judges may have/probably saw scoring the fight.

Herrera fought a hybrid type purist style throwing light quick shots but being the one advancing, problem is he too dependent on his great chin and his opponents land enough to show he is not dominating in the boxing skills, combine that with his limited power and judges end up not giving him many rounds. He needs to focus on his defense because with his power, he is going to have to out land his opponents by about 15-20% margins in order to get the rounds against certain guys by looking dominant in the boxing department.

It's more accurate than an individual set of eyes, that's the entire purpose of having three guys observing, and when two agree it's counted. I'll take compubox's opinion on what kind of activity we saw over any other individual's opinion (which is everyone else) because three minds are far better than one.

He should have wins against Garcia and Benvidez, he would have been a contender for fighter of the year with those wins.
