September fourth at the Headingley Rugby League Stadium in Leeds. No hardware on the line, as there wasn't in February. That would be why Lara finds himself entering the hometown of what ordinarily would now in the rematch be the challenger (regardless of who entered with a belt last time), lacking the champion's leverage to counteract the promotional might of Matchroom. Lara is ranked #7 by the WBO and #4 by the WBC & IBF. Warrington, formerly the IBF titlist before vacating in hopes of pursuing the Ring Magazine lineal title vs. Can Xu (then WBA king, now himself deposed) following a tune-up with Lara oops is ranked #6 by the WBC at featherweight but absent from the rest of the world rankings.
Probably Warrington on points. Ruiz vs Joshua 2 all over again. But I'd love to see Lara whoop that ass a second time
Ah ****, forgot I've been burned by that before... if you try putting the oops emoticon in parentheses it misreads the ( and : on one end and : and ) on the other as smileys and you're left with just the word oops bookended by them instead of .
As much as I love Warrington, I'm going for Lara. Warrington's whole style is getting in the pocket and out-hustling you. That means eating shots. Now normally he has the chin and defense for that, but with Lara's fists of granite? I don't like that gamble for anyone.
Just because you beat Frampton, Selby Galahad doesn't make you the best FW in the world. They are not dangerous like Lara. Interesting what tactics Warrington will use. I am guessing he will box and move avoid a slug fest if he can help it. If he does he will win on pts possibly a late rnd stoppage.
