They know they cant **** him in the ring, so they **** him out of the ring.

    Easy to understand, tbh.

What I don’t get is to me Wood appears to be significantly bigger than Lara

It doesn’t matter what the commission did. There is NO excuse being 4 pounds overweight.

If those are the rules and those rules are published and transparent, this still all falls on Lara. IS it BS, I think so, but its the same rule Wood has to follow too.

Would of been funny if Lara made the weight and the fight would of been called off. Instead he now holds a decent weight advantage over Wood in a fight that is proceeding?

And what if god forbid Wood suffers a career ending injury here by a guy who was forced to be heavier by the British boxing board?

Seems like all of this could of been solved by oh I don't know, a regular weigh in

BBBofC: "You are not allowed to weigh 126lbs!"
WBA: "We will strip you because you missed weight"

Lara should sue the **** out of the BBBofC if he wins. They essentially robbed him of his world title.
Also, WTF are the WBA doing? Why would they strip Lara? It´s not Lara´s fault he isn´t making 126.

When has the BBBofC ever forced a fighter not to make weight?
    Their own rules:
3.1 The opponents in any one Contest must be engaged at the same weight.

I can´t find anything about not allowing a fighter to make weight.

These check weigh ins aren't just made up on the day, he would've known about it at the start of camp.. Same as wood

Aside from Anything else. If he wasn't allowed to weigh the 128.5 on Wednesday of fight week, how does that excuse him coming in 1lb above that a few days later on the actual scales?

There's no advantage for Wood here. He has to beat a heavier Lara and won't be mandated for the vacant title if he loses. The Board's rules are extremely sensible as regards preventing brain injury. For once, boxing is being shown in a good light.

2.5lb outside the official weight just 2 days before the weigh in yeah? Is that knot just ensuring a safe and healthy cut rater than losing 14lb in a sauna the night before. How does that excuse a further 1lb gain in the official scales? Speak sense man

    The BBBofC rule 3.1:
Not allowing Lara to make weight, how does that make sense? The board has now put him in an advantageous position by breaking their own rule.

The BBBofC has no rule about how much weight a fighter can loose. They have medical checkups before the weighins and after the fights. (if they are concerned with a fighters health, they should call off the fight or let both men fight at a catchweight)

Ben Davidson, nor anyone else in Wood´s team have complained about the weighin.

"Lara cannot weigh-in under 128.5 lbs"
Nothing has been said about Lara having to weigh exactly 128.5lbs.

Lara has had to weigh in again this morning to prove he hasn't gained weight, whilst Wood hasn't. They'll fight around the same weight.
