Mauricio Lara vs Leigh Wood

This would be such a great action-packed fight. From an excitement level point of view it could be the most pay-per-view worthy fight out there. I have Lara winning it. He hits a little harder and has a better all around offense. That being said, Wood is a beast and he has an excellent chance to get the win.

 

Conlan almost stopped Wood in the 2nd round. Imagine what Lara would do.

 

I think Lara would steamroll Wood.

 

Wood has a chance to exploit Lara's vulnerabilities if he can box clever (think roughly along the lines of Crolla-Barroso, though not precisely analogous), but I'd favor the man with the better nickname here. Bronco brings to the ring a particular kind of wildman essence I haven't really seen since Valero (though operating a clear level below), and Wood can't afford a shaky start like the one he experienced with Conlan.
