Everyone knows that at that time Mir was unmotivated and not training properly, no to mention issues he was still dealing with from his accident.
Its like hyping up the Shogun victory over Coleman. On paper, it looks good but when you realized the opposition they faced that night, there leaves much to be impressed with.

You know Hamill will stand. He does all the time against guys like Franklin, who clearly have the better stand-up. And for that Vera TKOs him.

As for Shogun, I don't think a win over Chuck warrants a top 5 position. Anyhting from 6-10 seems right to me. I can see him moving up quick though. If he is indeed back and the UFC give him a decent challenge he should beat most of the guys in the LHW division and move up quickly.

I'm looking forward to his next fight and hopefully he fights again soon.

Yes, I'm afraid he will try to stand. But oh well, maybe he can break Vera with his dirty boxing and with his single collar tie where he has some succes. But if he keep a distance with Vera, he will get decimated.

If he stays standing with Vera he will get destroyed full stop. Even in a clinch, I don't think Vera will have any problems. He's a big fella and a former HW after all.

Yeah, he really need to kill Vera's will by taking him down and grinding him out.

yeah anyone else thinkg that hammil should campaign at mw? hammil's a strong dude but a little undersized at 205. given his style which relies upon strength (as opposed to quickness), i think he'd be better served at mw. he could at least beat that pansy bisping again (who too moved down and is probably a little bigger than hammil)

I PERSONALLY rank him as the top 205 lb fighter in the world so I voted no1 but he wont be officially ranked that highly in UFC until he gets more wins.

My no1 vote is bound to be contraversial I admit but Im voting on the basis that Rua is back to the same form as he was in pride, he looked to have his cardio sorted vs Chuck (even tho the fight only lasted 1 rd), he looked to have that relaxed smoothness back & Im also in the minority when I say Chuck looked good (not absolute peak tho) & really ready for this fight, Shogun deserves a little more credit for that win IMO.

    :thumbsup

I know what your saying, but since his injury he needs to prove himself, but i agree he has the potential to be No1.

If the real Shogun is back, then #1 and P4P #2.

I'm not at all convinced about his conditioning.
