im serious whos better? ali has 5 losses. mayweather has none. ali use to get hit alot more mayweather hardly gets hit flush except for that lucky shot mosley landed.
But Ali also fought Foreman, Liston, Frazier, Norton, etc..etc... That's like puttin Mayweather in with Hearns, SRL, Duran and Walker.
mayweather can get to 50-0 if h wanted to. hes not gonna fight until someone beats his ass hes gonna retire in time retire on top
"Ali has 5 losses"...shut the f*ck up! So? Ali fought everyone in the most talent filled heavyweight era of all time. Mayweather ducked Cotto when he was undefeated, Margarito and guys like Cintron and Williams at welterweight. Now, I believe Floyd could have beaten all of them, but as a fan you like to see it. Ali beat Liston twice, Cooper twice, C. Williams, Folley, Chuvalo, Quarry twice, Bonavena, Frazier two out of three, Norton two out of three, and that is impressive since Norton was stylistically a nightmare for Ali, he beat Foreman, Lyle, Spinks in a rematch at an over the hill age. Three of his five losses were when he was old. Ali never lost in his prime. When you start threads like this, you leave people with the impression that you don't know **** about the sweet science. Find a day job.
In ATG status Calzaghe have the edge, they both beat the same number of ATG opponents (prime Jones/Hopkins vs prime DLH/Mosley), Joe kept Ring titles in two weight classes at the same time and had bigger number of title defenses ... this count only against titles in multiple weight classes for Floyd. Adding to this the age longevity vs the early retirement and the fan base vs hater base and here you go Joe >> Floyd.
mayweather ducked cotto??? u kiddin me.... please tell me u dont believe miguel cotto would even land a punch against mayweather. seriously just stop. stop right there..... Ok fine ali is better i admit. but mayweather vs calzaghe. floyd would smash calslappy if they fought
