I may not have been lucky enough to have seen Ali fight live, but that's what vhs, dvds, and the internet is for....Not to mention ESPN Classic constantly has Ali's past fights on heavy rotation....Besides that when you factor in that Ali lost a very large part of his career and prime due to his refussal to be inducted into the U.S. military based on his religious beliefs and opposition to the Vietnam War.....The man was exiled for FOUR LONG YEARS and he still came back into the game to beat PRIME ATG Hall of Fame Fighters ....... I'd say this question is without a doubt in all honestly a ****ING JOKE!

Mayweather is a very talented and gifted fighter inside the ring, but to put Mayweather in the same catergory because of the 0 is utterly ridiculous in my opinion. Because he simply did not fight the best in prime fighters of his era. I acknowledge what Mayweather has done, but don't say you're the GOAT or The Best. When you haven't fought the best and took the path of least resistance. That's all I'm saying.

Toney is basically just a larger version of Floyd, but with more heart and balls, but less dedication.

Roy neglects many of the things you mentioned, yet uses footwork, handspeed, and athleticism to win fights, and that combination worked perfectly against Toney and many other fighters like Bernard Hopkins who are better than him from a fundamental perspective.

Again, does that diminish Roy Jones' accomplishments? Honestly, what you judge fighters on is bull****. There are intangibles. And some of the **** you said is just pure opinion.

When you're fighting guys like Hatton, Castillo etc, who are basically pfp nobodies, and then you got Ali fighting some of the best fighters of all time, you got the audacity to say Floyd has all these attributs that are better, but against whom?

Floyd very tallented, but he is not at Ali's level. Get off his dick.

And again, if you are so keen on the counterpunching ability that is Floyd, you woulda picked Louis against Marciano, Moore against Ali, and Toney against Jones.

And you would be wrong, because you can't quantify greatness. And you're talking about Ali who is also a better PFP athlete than Floyd.

And I never seen Ali ***** out of a fight against NOBODY. He woulda beat Oscar's ass for one, not ran away from an old man, and Margarito would have been done way before Mosley, that's for damn sure. And the only way Ali retired was when the goverment forced his ass into it.

Ali made mother ****ers shut up cuz he put up, and he put it down with an explanation point not with a bunch of .......bull****.

Using the name PWil must mean you are a Williams fan LOL I guess that explains this joke of a question. To quote Larry Holmes infamous statement... Mayweather isnt fit to have carried Ali's jockstrap

And again Tilang, since Ali's competition was equivelent to guys like Hearns, SRL, Duran, Walker, Benitez, etc....would Floyd come out unblemished cuz I think you could make an argument that he may possibly lose to all of those mentioned.

****, even Vernon Forrest would present Floyd with something he's never had to face in his career. A tall slick boxer with an excellent jab.

Never once in Floyd's career has he had to face that style of opposition.

I was thinking along the same lines as you. The division Ali dealt with would be just about the equivalent of dropping PBF into the middle of the Hearns/Leonard era. He may have had to wait for Hearns, Leonard, Benitez, and Duran to move up before he could win a title.
