    Williams was as big as Baer and had Liston reeling backwards early first fight. Liston had solid fundamentals and pretty good head and battled back and dominated the rest is history. Do you really think in same scenario Baer remains composed and is able to turn the tide? His skills were very crude. Look at the Louis fight he got hurt but didn’t know how to counter or tie Louis up. Big Cat KO 5 rounds.

    People saying Williams had a bad chin must realize that at the same age as when Baer retired Cleveland had been stopped only 3 times, twice to Liston and once to Satterfield, the same number of times Baer had been stopped and in just about the same number of fights. Williams should not be penalized because he fought on far too long, especially considering he was freakin' shot by a highway patrolman.
