Peak Frazier would have had a helluva chance. A late peak Frazier beat a very near peak Ali, possibly the greatest victory in the sport's history.

By 73, the fire was faded and the chassis was rusted.

You are very good at hanging albatrosses round your neck, in exchange for minor short term gains!

OK, so Foreman's victory over Frazier, was primarily due to the fact that Frazier was spent, and prime Frazier would have had a good chance!

In that case we obviously have to reevaluate Dempsey and Marciano's chances against Foreman!

They mare obviously looking a lot better now if they are on their A game!

Hell, the whole super heavyweight argument is looking a bit shaky now!

The Foreman Frazier example is often brought up in its support!

    Your strawman game is strong!

BTW, Frazier beat a guy who was the same size as Foreman (6-3, 215) and a pretty good boxer to boot a few years before. So, that argument alone won't fly.

You systematically discredit fighters from older eras. That's the bottom line

Bullsh*t. Look my comment on Louis' right hand video that Reznick posted today.

I can state plenty of good things about Baer with full intellectual honesty. Him beating Tua is not one of them.

I think Frazier's decline is very exaggerated he looked much the same in the second Quarry fight on June 17th 1974 as he had prior to the Foreman and Ali fights.

    Is that a serious question?

Pulling late KOs out of the hat when way down on points was Tua's speciality.

Yeah, here was me thinking the way to break down fantasy fights was on a case by case basis, when all I needed was Janitor's prize-winning Slugger-Swarmer Formula!

I don't think he gets a chance to foul Tua. Tua would be brutalising him in close with heavy hooks and bodyshots to allow Baer's sloppy backhands and rabbit punches to ever become a factor.

Ali was a boxer, Frazier was a swarmer, Foreman was a slugger.

It is a classic scissors paper stone triangle.

Boy I really like the way you described that,,,,the silent contract,,, you obviously know boxing because you see that quite often and announcers always miss it.

Don't flatter him. Plenty of announcers have talked about it, mostly expugs like O'Grady.

And the only time Tua was ever forced into such a position was by Lewis, a guy who holds every advantage imaginable over Baer in terms of skill and athleticism. The idea that Baer could put Tua in the same position is laughable, even the tuboflard that showed up to meet Lennox.
