Youre even dumber than i thought. In the link YOU provided, the "knockdown" against nichols was ruled a slip. And wilder won both fights and was never in any serious trouble! So in 39 fights, wilder was down once very early in his career when he was still learning. But baer was stopped 3x after he had already been a seasoned pro and champion. So a guy stopped 3x has a better chin than a guy dropped once who got back up and won. And you know for a "fact" baer is more durable...ok lol.
You're as dumb as a week old dog turd dried out in the sun. Watch the Nichols fight. Wilder went down after a blow. The fact that he's always off-balance is besides the point. Wilder was knocked down by no-power Sconiers. Wilder was knocked out with headgear on by Krzysztof Zimnoch who should be called Krzysztof Whatzizname because he's otherwise completely unremarkable.* He was knocked out by Wlad in sparring and he also pulled out his special dance moves beforehand. Wilder was wobbled by a left from meh fighter Szpilka in their fight. Wilder was driven around the ring by the jab of football player Washington. Let's face it, Wilder's chin is a traffic accident waiting to happen, it's compressed cardboard waiting to get torn up, and the only remarkable thing about Wilder's chin is how it's held together with three rolls of duct tape. ... Baer was stopped on cuts. Baer would make Wilder dance the salsa before dropping him for a well deserved snooze. *Edit. I'm getting Romanov and Zimnoch confused. The Pole merely beat Wilder, the Russian made him take a seat.
Didn't Louis get dropped by no names in sparring? I remember Ali not looking the best against a football player in an exhibition match. Rocky got knocked down in the amateurs, as have many great fighters.
My point was just because a big puncher doesn't KO everyone 200 pounds and under doesn't make them not a big puncher and that the only reason you don't see 180-200 pound fighters going the distance with modern heavies is because they don't get a chance to fight anymore.
So... ...again You have nothing. One slip and one knockdown as a young rookie professional doesnt make you glass jawed. Sparring tales and amateur fights are about as relevant as bow and arrows in a machine gun fight. You can keep repeating yourself, it isnt going to make your points valid.
I never said if you fail to ko a man under 200 lbs youre feather fisted. Only when it happens over and over do i begin to ask questions if its a matter of styles makes fights or said puncher needs a stationary open target to be effective. For example, no intelligent boxing fan would claim failing to KO Oscar Bonavena makes you feather fisted even though hed be cruiserweight sized now without bulking or eating to match the mass of modern fighters. He had one hell of a chin.
Baer was scared of Louis, he would probably be even more scared facing Wilder and do another quit job. And even Wilder was a technician compared to Baer hehe, plus way more athletic and quick. Baer only chance is try to walk this guy down, and catch him with a big right hand, but I don't think he has the heart to do that
Baer was not in any way lacking in heart. He got intimidated by Louis, and thats about it. He certainly didn't lack willingness to take punishment. I don't think you really understand Baer as a fighter here.
He basically quit before the fight, he was intimidated as you said... He'd probably do the same against Wilder, considering that Wilder is knocking everyone out.
Oh please. Wilder has not knocked out anybody of note, and he would look very beatable at this point. This isn't Sony Liston or a young Mike Tyson here. He wouldn't be the best person that Baer had beaten either.
Wilder could go down as a top 10 all time HW. You heard it here first. People reading this in the future: I told you!! I’M the greatest of all times!!
