Interesting match-up IMO. Baer had a top chin and devastating right hand power, while Holyfield liked to mix it up often. How does this play out?

    1933 Baer vs 1991 Holyfield

It would be a nice slug fest for about 7 or 8 rounds with both men exchanging huge shots. Ultimately I can see Evander breaking him down for the stoppage mid way. Baer had a solid chin and Holy had limited power, but Max's defense had a lot of holes and Evander had precision and good combinations

I think Holyfield at the top of his game gives Baer a brutal, fairly one-sided clinic. Turns him, swarms him, beats him to the punch, and avoids Baer's clumsy swats.

That could happen too.. I'm just giving Baer the benefit of the doubt that he might make a fight out of it, given that he was the type of fighter to prompt Holy into a sugfest rather than a strategic boxing match.

Holyfield out hustles Baer for a points win.

Holyfield exploits Baer's wild swinging shots and earns a tko in the later rounds.

Pure target practice for Holyfield because Baer is more open than a giant barn door.....and that will result in a mercy Ref stoppage.

Holy breaks him down and depending on the ref either Max's corner stops it or Max ends up as pieces in a bucket. All wrong for Max.

IMO, Baer is underrated and Holyfield is overrated. That being said, I think that Holyfield's superior conditioning and work ethic would be decisive against Baer, who rarely trained properly. Holyfield by decision.
