Both at their best. Could Max sucker Holyfield into a brawl

Holyfield is the better fighter IMHO.....and will do whatever is necessary to win.

Max would need to duplicate his Schmeling performance to make things interesting.

I don't see Max at his best ever beating EH at his .Its true that Holy liked to war it and Baer had a lethal punch, but Holyfield would gut it out. I see a lively fight ,similar to Holy's fight with Dokes ,with Baer having moment s of success tagging him .
But Holy just keep s on coming to batter him down to the floor.
9round's ko for the real deal imo

Holyfield. Too refined, too skilled, too good off the counter, too quick and too consistent over 15.

Is Holyfield on or off steroids? Off them could be interesting - with them easy win for him- his technical advantage coupled with his increased size and strength give him the win

Baer would have a better chance against the smaller, cruiserweight Holyfield. Against say the Holyfield that stopped Douglas or beat Foreman, I see that as a Holyfield affair

Holyfield would make Baer look like an amateur, who came out sudden like an guerilla brawler, showling nearly anything between.

I was waiting for your response. I would have been shocked if you picked Max Baer to beat Holyfield

The Holyfield who got busted by Cooper might get in trouble if Baer catches him with a good shot. Not much chance for that scenario, but Baer could bang a little.

Honestly I think that Baers absolute best case scenario would be to have as much success as Bert Cooper did and still get stopped in the same way.

    This.

My sentiments exactly. Especially against the smaller frame Holyfield who faced Cooper..

If Max suckers Holy into a brawl, he will get more than he wished for. Holy's overwhelming advantage in hand speed and combination punching will have Max getting Joe Louis flashbacks.
